"As a summer associate I was exposed to the type of substantive work that eventually prepared me to be an Associate here. I met a cross-section of attorneys and staff at the summer program events who made me feel welcome when I joined the firm following graduation."

1: Opportunity to experience the "real" legal world and law firm life prior to the completion of law school.

At Brownstein we offer a 10- to 12-week structured summer program. Candidates for the program are selected from law schools nationwide.

Throughout the program we combine education and training with experience, hard work and fun. The program provides summer associates with an in-depth view of life at the firm. It also offers an opportunity to develop the skills and relationships necessary to establish a solid foundation for future success.

Each summer associate is paired with a mentor who will help guide them through the program and facilitate their introduction to the firm. Brownstein offers education and training sessions each week during the program covering topics such as "The Billable Hour," "Law Firm Survival Skills," introductions and major practice areas within the firm. The summer class will have the opportunity to meet with many senior Shareholders to learn about their individual practices and careers. Additionally, the summer is filled with networking and social engagements, allowing summer associates a chance to get to know Brownstein's attorneys and staff both in and out of the office.
