Pro Bono
Pro Bono service enriches the lives of attorneys and the people they serve.
We recognize that the legal community has a resposibility to ensure that all individuals, regardless of circumstance, have access to a fair and just legal system. To ensure such access to justice for the unrepresented and the underrepresented, we strongly encourage all of our attorneys to actively participate in some form of pro bono legal representation on behalf of those who may otherwise be shut out of our legal system.
Our comittment to pro bono service reflects the aspirations articulated in the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct:
"Every lawyer, regardless of professional prominence or professional workload, has the responsibility to provide egal services to those unable to pay, and personal involvement in the problems of the disadvantaged can be one of the most rewarding experiences in the life of a lawyer..." - Comment [1] to ABA Model Rule 6.1
Up to 100 pro bono hours can be counted toward annual billable goals. |
