| Mr. Smith is an Associate in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Denver office and a member of the Litigation Department.
Mr. Smith has experience in labor, employment and commercial litigation matters. He has counseled employers regarding both federal and state employment laws and regulations, and has defended clients against claims of violations of Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, ERISA, the FLSA, the FMLA, the NLRA, and OSHA. Mr. Smith has defended employers against both single-plaintiff suits and collective and class actions in both state and federal courts, as well as represented employers in administrative proceedings before the EEOC, OSHA, the NLRB, and the Department of Labor.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Smith was an associate at Burr & Forman in Birmingham, Alabama. Prior to that, he served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable L. Scott Coogler of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. |
