Starting his practice in 1997, for nearly 30 years, Arthur Zorio has been representing clients in matters involving complex business, commercial and intellectual property matters. He has taken cases through trial and appeal litigating in state and federal courts in Nevada, California and numerous other jurisdictions where he has been granted authority to practice pro hac vice. His nearly three decades of litigation experience includes claims involving complex business and commercial disputes, trademark infringement, unfair competition, false advertising, false designation or origin, reverse trademark infringement, entertainment, trade secret, right of publicity, patent infringement, copyright infringement, shareholder disputes, usurpation of corporate opportunity, and non-disclosure and non-competition agreements.

Clients often seek out Arthur to provide advice to protect intellectual property involving trademark, trade secret, right of publicity, patent, and copyrights, including development of appropriate agreements in complex transactions and other protection and enforcement strategies.  He has served as an arbitrator and has been sought after to help resolve complex disputes.

Prior to joining Brownstein, Arthur was a partner at Watson Rounds, a firm Brownstein acquired in 2015. A native of Reno with long-standing family roots in Nevada, he is active in Rotary and also enjoys fishing, hunting, skiing and mountaineering.

Brand Management, Trademark & Copyright Protection

  • Represented company in marketing and advertising copyright dispute.

  • Represented company in copyright dispute with former employees.

  • Successfully assisted client in defense of preliminary injunction for trademark infringement and unfair competition.

  • Successfully assisted client in obtaining preliminary injunction against international corporation in reverse confusion trademark dispute.

Technology Transactions

  • Created numerous intellectual property development and licensing agreements. 

  • Created numerous employment non-compete and trade secret confidentiality agreements.

  • Successfully resolved dispute among competitors regarding trade secrets involving customer lists.

Commercial Litigation

  • Successfully obtained a writ of mandate against a local government to issue a business license to a national company.

  • Successfully tried and obtained judgment of contempt against entity failing to comply with prior injunction.

  • Obtained jury verdict in favor of client involving claims of legal malpractice against the client’s former attorney.
