Shareholder Marc Lampkin has joined the board of trustees of Howard University, a private research university comprised of 14 schools and colleges in Washington, D.C.
The Howard University Board of Trustees is responsible for controlling and directing the affairs, property and interests of the university. Lampkin will serve on the board for a three-year term, where he will help oversee university operations.
“Howard is a great historical institution that has served as a gateway for opportunity for many generations of African Americans,” Lampkin said. “I believe that its continued success is vitally important not just for the African American community, but for the country as a whole.”
