Background

As the firm’s chief financial officer, John Huber provides executive leadership and direction for the firm's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, expense control, financial planning and analysis, banking relationships, audit, tax, cash management, accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable and collections, as well as systems, treasury and asset management. He brings more than 25 years of progressive finance and accounting experience with law firms and in public accounting to his role.

Prior to joining Brownstein, John served as chief financial officer for Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, where he led and managed a team of 80 finance, accounting and operations personnel and oversaw all financial functions for the law firm and its lobbying affiliate, Michael Best Strategies. Prior to his tenure with Michael Best, he was the director of global management accounting and reporting at Baker McKenzie. 

John started his career at a Chicago-based global accounting and consulting firm. There, he worked closely with its network of law firms and developed an affinity for law firm financial management. 

He is a certified public accountant and certified internal auditor.
