Background

Combining in-house experience with a background in both transactional and litigation matters, Irene Blumberg provides incisive, well-rounded counsel on a range of issues with a focus on corporate bankruptcy and restructuring. Her previous work includes advising both company and creditor-side clients on in- and out-of-court restructurings. This includes distressed M&A, tort and liability management issues within a variety of industries, calling for deeply creative problem-solving skills and a gift for strategy.

Most recently, Irene worked as a legal secondee in BlackRock’s New York office as member of the Legal and Compliance Group.  While there, she provided legal advice to various investment strategy groups within fixed income and alternatives with a particular focus on credit, restructurings and distressed investments. Prior to BlackRock, Irene was an associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York, where she focused on all aspects of complex transactional, restructuring and commercial litigation matters.

Irene is not yet admitted to practice in Colorado.
