A native Nevadan, Maliq Kendricks brings a thoughtful and thorough approach to his complex commercial litigation practice, working with a wide variety of clients and industries.
He also has an emerging expertise in real estate litigation, representing clients in both state and federal court as well as in mediation and arbitration and other arenas for alternative dispute resolution. His work in this area includes commercial and residential lease disputes, construction contracts disputes, boundary disputes, evictions, lien and foreclosure issues. He also has significant experience facilitating collection and enforcing judgments.
Maliq came to Brownstein from a Nevada-based law firm, specializing in business and commercial disputes related to partnerships, merchandise sales, licensing, construction and real estate. He clerked with Judge Cristina D. Silva and was a summer law clerk with Judge Elizabeth Gonzalez, both at the Eighth Judicial District.
Also an educator, he currently teaches business law at the College of Southern Nevada. He previously served as a founding teacher at Democracy Prep Public Schools while finishing his law degree and has mentored aspiring teachers for years.
