Background

With a background in legal research and writing and a passion for oral advocacy, Jamie Leavitt tackles complex issues in her litigation practice.

Prior to joining the firm, Jamie served as a senior law clerk to Chief Judge Michael P. Gibbons of the Nevada Court of Appeals. In that role, she researched, drafted and edited appellate orders and opinions involving legal issues such as securities, multiparty contract disputes and property law.

In law school, Jamie was an extern for Judges Jennifer A. Dorsey and Andrew P. Gordon at the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada. She also served as a student attorney for the UNLV Immigration Clinic and a consumer protections clerk for the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada.

Jamie is a registered nutrition and dietetics technician (NDTR) and has lectured on nutrition policy issues.
