Background
John LaLime’s practice combines his legal education with his experience on the Hill. He uses this background in law and policy to help guide strategy on issues relating to financial services, international affairs, and education. His litigation practice includes monitoring state and federal regulation compliance, as well as drafting amicus briefs and petitions for certiorari before the United States Supreme Court.
John began his career as a legal intern with the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee where he drafted hearing memorandum, presentation summaries and talking points on national security and data privacy issues. He worked on high-profile matters including the Protecting Our Kids Act. He also interned under Judge Amy Berman Jackson on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
In law school, John was a member of The George Washington Law Review reflecting his abilities in preparing legal analysis and conducting research on complex legal issues.
