With broad political awareness and knowledge of public financing and public-private partnerships, Kate effectively guides clients through complex land use matters and real estate transactions with an emphasis on the entitlement process in connection with multi-family, office, commercial, and industrial developments. She also has considerable expertise in conservation easements, infill development, urban renewal, and common interest communities.

Her notable projects include one of the biggest office deals in Denver metro history: representing a real estate investment firm in the acquisition of a $250 million office portfolio including the Pearl East Business Park in Boulder, Colorado, and the new Circa office building in Denver.

    Recent Experience

    • Represented Mountain Area Land Trust in the easement conservation of 151 acres in southern Jefferson County. MALT now holds 11 voluntary conservation agreements along Pleasant Park Road, Ridge Road and Kuester Road in Conifer and Littleton, collectively conserving more than 1,100 acres of connected land and wildlife corridors.
