Background

Jordan Rabani-Jenkins brings strong writing and research skills to her natural resources practice at Brownstein.

Most recently, Jordan was a summer associate for the firm in 2022, where she researched water rights for landowners in accordance with California water laws. During law school, she was active with the Environmental Law Society and the Immigrants’ Rights Clinic.

Prior to law school, Jordan spent two years on a Fulbright grant teaching English in Spain and one year teaching Spanish in the United States. She is fluent in Spanish.

    Recent Experience

    • Defended homeowners’ property against unwanted Historic Landmark designation by the Santa Barbara County Historic Landmarks Advisory Commission (“HLAC”). Appeared at numerous HLAC meetings requesting that the Commission not designate the property. Appealed HLAC Landmark designation to the Santa Barbara Board of Supervisors, advocating for rejection of the landmark designation on behalf of the homeowners. The Board of Supervisors unanimously rejected the landmark designation (upholding the homeowners’ appeal) in a first-of-its-kind decision.
