Brandon Knapp supports the firm’s California policy clients through legislative monitoring and tracking with experience in consulting and providing direct advocacy. He has particular experience in broad scale of policy issues ranging from public safety and privacy to tax and budget issues.
Prior to joining Brownstein, Brandon was a legislative associate at a Sacramento-based government and public affairs firm, growing his skills in legislative monitoring and direct representation at the legislature and its committees. While there, he also managed two coalitions related to privacy and artificial intelligence and represented clients before the state legislature and agencies on issues related to public safety, privacy and consumer protections, insurance, revenue and taxation, the judiciary, and the state budget.
