Background

Katelyn Castaneda supports the firm’s Wyoming state government relations group and natural resources team as a policy analyst. She has diverse work experience including policy tracking, civil litigation support, business development and client engagement. Bringing a deep understanding of the industry’s importance to Wyoming’s economy and livelihood, Katelyn has spent most of her 10 years of civil litigation experience in the oil and gas sector at state, federal and appellate levels.

Prior to joining Brownstein, Katelyn worked as a paralegal at a Cheyenne-based corporate law firm and legal secretary at a large national firm’s Wyoming office. She also has prior experience in social work in municipal and judicial settings.
