Experienced congressional appropriator. Strategist in finding federal funding for legislative priorities in the House and Senate. Understands complex financial services, foreign financing and telecommunications policy.
Lauren Flynn draws from over a decade of experience working with the federal government to plan and execute effective advocacy strategies that further the policy goals of her clients. She has a deep understanding of the appropriations process, making her an asset to those interested in the allocation of government funding and the execution of the federal budget.
During her time on Capitol Hill, Lauren oversaw funding requests as staff director of the Financial Services and General Government Subcommittee of the Appropriations Committee in both chambers of Congress. She also participated in numerous conference negotiations, including enactment of the most recent fiscal year Financial Services and General Government (FSGG) bill. As Sen. John Kennedy’s (R-LA) senior policy advisor, she implemented his Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee priorities. Lauren has negotiated directly with officials at the highest levels of the legislative, executive and judicial branches to enact critical spending bills. Now she uses those skills to ensure client funding concerns are heard by those that can produce tangible results.
Laruen also has extensive experience in the executive branch. During President Trump’s first term, she was an appointed deputy assistant secretary at the Department of Treasury, where she managed the development of the CARES Act and the Paycheck Protection Program and implemented the department’s appropriations priorities.
