Zach Marshall works within the Government Relations Department to provide clients with insights related to foreign policy, national security, immigration and trade. A deft D.C. navigator, he guides the policy strategies of clients ranging from nonprofits and corporations to foreign nations. His strategic thinking and broad network across both houses of Congress enable him to engage key policymakers on issues that are critical to client goals. A skilled writer and communicator, Zach has the ability to distill and explain complex legislative and policy issues to develop ideas into strategy into results.
Before joining Brownstein, Zach served on the congressional affairs team at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where he provided colleagues with insights on congressional developments and identified angles for their engagement on Capitol Hill. He also interned for the House Foreign Affairs Committee under Rep. Eliot Engel (D-NY) and has worked in field and fundraising roles on several local, state, and federal-level Democratic political campaigns.
