A strategic and trusted advocate, Jia can be found in state capitols and on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. making his clients’ case before lawmakers, executive branch officials and other influential decisionmakers.
Jia’s dependable and straightforward approach, paired with his legal training, have led to him working the frontlines of complex and high-profile policy issues—ranging from consumer lending to automotive dealer-manufacturer disputes to regulation of live event ticketing. Additionally, Jia’s multistate and D.C. work allow him to identify links between local, state and federal actions; forecast legislative trends; and help clients understand the bottom-line impacts of governmental decisions.
Jia also remains committed to giving back, including board service and maintaining a robust pro bono practice. In one case, he was able to help a nonprofit earn a seven figure award to carry out and expand its mission.
Prior to attending law school and joining the firm, Jia worked in a variety of legislative, campaign and government relations roles, including as a staffer at the Colorado State Capitol and as the legislative liaison for the University of Colorado Boulder.
