One of my favorite professional events each year is the Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources’ Fall Conference. It is a great time to reconnect with old friends, meet new Section members, and introduce recent graduates and current students to the amazing benefits of being an ABA member, all while attending CLE sessions featuring leaders in environmental, energy, and resources law. And—normally—this is a time when I get to visit a new city! So, it’s an understatement to say that I was disappointed that we would not be meeting in Nashville as originally planned. But with all the unknowns surrounding the COVID-19 global pandemic, I have no doubt that the decision to meet virtually this year is the right one to protect our members.
