ColoradoBIZ Magazine named Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Melissa Kuipers as one of its 2015 Top 25 Young Professional honorees. This award recognizes 21- to 39-year-old go-getters, mobilizers and “hot-shots” in Colorado who are using their youthful energy and wasting no time in shaping the next generation of business. The Top 25 finalists will be recognized in the Sept/Oct issue and at the magazine’s GenXYZ event on Sept. 24, 2015, at Mile High Station.
“Melissa is a driven policy advisor always a step ahead for her clients,” said Adam Agron, Brownstein’s co-managing partner. “We are very proud of her professional, community and civic achievements. It’s no surprise to see Melissa recognized as one of the most influential young professionals in Denver.”
Melissa, a senior policy advisor in the Denver office, is a leading lobbyist and seasoned strategist at the Colorado Capitol. Melissa has sought to combine her passion for law and politics throughout her career, beginning her political endeavors at age 15 when she served as a page in the Florida Senate for then-Sens. Charlie Crist (R-St. Petersburg) and Don Sullivan (R-Seminole). When it comes to behind-the-scenes negotiations and strategy development, Melissa is second to none. While Melissa’s Republican roots run deep, she is uniquely gifted in her ability to work across the aisle and build bipartisan stakeholder coalitions for the benefit of her clients. Melissa actively leads negotiations between the Senate, House of Representatives and governor and achieves creative results for her clients. At the core of Melissa’s government relations practice is her reputation for integrity, honesty and professionalism.
