March 11, 2020

Sarah Mercer, a shareholder in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Government Relations Department, is included as one of the Denver Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 honorees. Nominees were judged on their leadership, contributions and innovations within their organization, and their community involvement.

Mercer combines her litigation background with her passion for state and local government. Clients count on her unique knowledge and perspective to help them overcome challenging legal issues and navigate the complex political landscape. Mercer plays a leading role in both the attorneys general practice and the political law practice and is known as a connector drawing on her close ties with elected officials and bureaucratic staff at all levels of local and state government to form connections and bridge relationships on behalf of colleagues and clients.

Mercer is an active board member for the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD), an organization that offers adaptive lessons for individuals and groups of people with disabilities in a variety of action sports, adventure sports and competitive programs. She also does pro bono lobbying for Colorado Legal Services and serves on the board of the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce.

Mercer was recognized at the Denver Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 event on Feb. 12 at the Fillmore Auditorium.
