Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that Jamie Thalgott, a shareholder in the firm’s Las Vegas office, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Foundation.
The LVMPD Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting programs that prevent crime, save lives and make Southern Nevada a safer place to live, work and visit. It raises funds to support and supplement Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department programs and initiatives.
As part of her three-year term, Thalgott will assist the board with fundraising, events, volunteer work and fiduciary responsibilities.
“I wanted to join an organization helping to build connections between our police department and the communities it serves, in particular our vulnerable communities," she said. "The LVMPD Foundation fundraises for backpacks for inner-city youth, sponsors inner-city little leagues, supports female and LGBTQ+ officers, and is in the process of fundraising for a new training facility for our police force.”
