Sarah Mercer commented on federal grant applications for shuttered Denver entertainment venues and what those interested in applying should know for the Denver Business Journal.
Initially, her biggest concern was that applicants would need to choose between applying for Paycheck Protection Program loans — for which the deadline may be extended to May 31 — and the SVOG program.
“Congress fixed that,” Mercer said. “Businesses can apply for PPP and SVOG and if they get both, they subtract the value of their PPP loan from the Shuttered Venue Operator Grant. Business concerns were heard about choosing between the two and it’s been resolved.”
