On Tuesday, April 5, Cal State Fullerton hosted the Royce International Symposium. The program—named after Cal State Fullerton alumni, former House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman and Brownstein Policy Director Ed Royce—brought together foreign policy experts to discuss the most pressing international issues facing the United States.
With a special focus on the rising challenges from China and Russia, speakers including professors from three universities and experts representing the Heritage Foundation and the Cato Institute dissected challenges the U.S. must confront to maintain democratic governance in the face of rising autocratic leaders. The symposium is designed to advance academic research and campus-based community engagement on issues of international significance.
