Stan Garnett, shareholder and co-chair of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Government Investigations & White Collar Defense Group, was recognized with the firm’s inaugural Steve Farber Legacy Award.
The firm introduced the annual award in 2022 to honor an attorney or policy professional who goes above and beyond to achieve the best possible outcome for clients, shapes an area of law or public policy, contributes to their industry and invests in their colleagues. The award was created in memory and honor of Steve Farber, one of Brownstein’s founding partners, who was known for “making the impossible possible” on countless occasions throughout his career.
Garnett was recognized for his exemplary client service, being all-in for his clients and the firm, being a tremendous advocate who isn’t afraid of taking on tough challenges, as well as his diligent and impactful representation of Dominion Voting Systems following the 2020 presidential election.
Garnett was nominated by Government Investigations & White Collar Defense Group Co-Chair Jason Dunn. In his nomination, Dunn wrote: “Because what made Steve Farber a great lawyer, community leader, firm leader, mentor and friend are the same traits that make Stan worthy of this award: relentless commitment to clients, unwavering support of the Brownstein firm and our brand, selfless mentorship of so many young attorneys and friend to partner and staff alike.”
Garnett was recognized at Brownstein’s 2022 All Attorney and Policy Retreat on Oct. 21. He will receive a contribution in his name to the nonprofit or civic organization of his choice in honor of Steve Farber.
