Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck welcomes Brendan Leanos to its Corporate & Business Department as a shareholder in the firm’s Denver office. Leanos will focus on leveraged finance, debt capital markets and fund finance.
“Brendan is a great example of this firm investing in practices in which we are established market leaders. Brendan will help ensure that Brownstein’s corporate finance practice remains a destination practice for our clients,” said Jay Spader, chair of Brownstein’s Corporate & Business Department.
Leanos represents financial institutions, direct lenders and private equity funds and their portfolio companies in lending transactions, with experience representing both lenders and borrowers in senior secured loans, second lien and mezzanine loans, and unsecured loans. His expertise also includes advising middle market companies and private equity funds on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters. Prior to joining Brownstein, Leanos worked for a Denver law firm and in the New York City offices of two international law firms focusing on leveraged finance and capital markets transactions, with a particular emphasis on acquisition financings and leveraged recapitalizations.
Leanos received his undergraduate degree from Middlebury College and his law degree from Fordham University School of Law.
