Two Brownstein attorneys have recently taken on new roles with the Colorado Lawyers Committee (CLC), a nonpartisan consortium of 70 Colorado law firms dedicated to creating and increasing opportunities for children, the poor and other disadvantaged communities.
David Meschke, a shareholder in Brownstein’s Litigation Department, has joined the CLC’s Executive Committee and will also co-chair its Education Task Force. Meschke has served on the board of directors of the CLC for four years and was recently appointed to his new roles.
“I’m excited to bring a new face and a fresh perspective to the CLC Executive Committee,” Meschke said.
Rosa Baum, an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department, has joined the board of the CLC Young Lawyers Division (YLD). The YLD offers younger lawyers and law students an opportunity to make a difference in the community and participate in leadership roles within the CLC. In her role, Baum will assist with election-related special projects, including heading the CLC’s Nonpartisan Election Call Center.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join the CLC team in their laudable mission to push forward systemic change by creating and increasing opportunities for disadvantaged communities through advocacy, negotiation and litigation,” Baum said.
