Claire Havelda, of counsel in the firm’s Real Estate Department, has been appointed to the board of directors of Denver Children’s Home (DCH), a residential treatment center that restores hope and health to traumatized children and families through a thorough array of therapeutic, educational and community-based services.
Havelda will serve on the board for a three-year term. She understands how critical the therapeutic services DCH provides are through her prior career experience, both as a youth treatment counselor at DCH and as a guardian ad litem for children in the dependency and neglect courts.
“I saw firsthand the incredible impact DCH has had on the lives of at-risk children and their families,” Havelda said. “Placements like DCH provide a critical lifeline for children involved with the dependency and neglect courts. It is a privilege and an honor to play a small part in supporting their mission.”
