Gloria Walker, a policy advisor and associate in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Government Relations Department in Washington, D.C., was honored by U.S. Black Chambers (USBC) on its 2023 Power 50 Under 40 list. The recognition honors the accomplishments of dynamic young Black professionals, innovators, leaders, disruptors and business visionaries who are actively shaping their industries.
Walker provides legal analysis on policy issues related to education, health care, labor and tax. She monitors legislative and regulatory developments in real-time and reviews former trends to predict where policy is heading. Walker provides insightful legal memos and policy reports that help inform business decisions. Her substantive legal training, ability to discern what information is important and fresh perspective are used to provide clear insights on complex issues.
A D.C. native, Walker has served in several political and legal roles downtown. She served in the office of Rep. Anthony Brown (D-MD), where she helped advance the member’s legislative goals related to workforce issues and later worked as a legal clerk in the Geico Office of Legislative Counsel. Earlier, she served as a judicial intern for the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
