Melissa Kuipers Blake, a shareholder in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Government Relations Department, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Colorado Chamber of Commerce for a three-year term.
The Colorado Chamber of Commerce is a private nonprofit organization that works to improve the business climate for all sizes of business from a statewide, multi-industry perspective. Kuipers Blake has been involved with the organization for 15 years and will work with its chief executive officer and her fellow board members to advance the interests of Colorado businesses to create economic stability and growth for years to come.
“It is a privilege to join the Colorado Chamber of Commerce board and lend assistance in strengthening the statewide voice of the business community,” Kuipers Blake said. “For more than a decade, I have had the opportunity to serve on the Government Affairs Council at the Chamber and I have watched it navigate—and many times eliminate—legislation that is a threat to the health of our business community. It is a high priority for me and the clients I represent to provide employees and employers with a stable environment within which to grow in Colorado.”
