Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck welcomes Rob Robilliard to the firm as a senior policy advisor in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office. Robilliard will focus on financial services issues for clients.
“Rob is a skilled financial services strategist. His experience with key congressional committees in the U.S. House of Representatives and working with numerous financial sectors including crypto make him a great addition to our respected financial services team,” said Nadeam Elshami, co-chair of Brownstein’s Government Relations Department.
Robilliard most recently served as director of government affairs for the Crypto Council for Innovation. During his time as a policy advisor for the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Capital Markets, Robilliard drafted legislation and organized congressional hearings under Committee Chair and current Ranking Member Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA). During his time on Congressman Sherman’s team, Robilliard helped coordinate passage of the Adjustable Interest Rate (LIBOR) Act and the Holding Foreign Companies Accountable Act. He also worked with financial services industry groups including the American Land Title Association, where he advocated on issues regarding real estate and insurance markets, and the Structured Finance Association, where he built experience with capital markets and securitization.
Before graduating, Robilliard spent time in the House, interning for Reps. David Scott (D-GA) and Sanford Bishop (D-GA). These positions established his roots in the legislative process and his connections in the House.
Robilliard received his bachelor’s degree from American University.
