Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that Margaux Trammell has been promoted to chief talent officer and will lead the firm’s newly formed talent management function.
Brownstein has integrated its recruiting, professional development and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) functions to create a unified group under Trammell’s leadership. The group will support the firm’s strategic goals and manage its attorney and policy professional recruiting, onboarding, professional development and elevation processes.
“We’re thrilled to form this new function under Margaux as we continue to focus on our talent and enhance our ability to attract, retain and develop a diverse workforce,” said Rich Benenson, Brownstein’s managing partner. “In addition to Margaux’s professional development expertise, her prior experience as a corporate lawyer provides a unique view of our business and our clients, enabling her to develop and propose initiatives that are aligned with our strategic plan and evolving client needs.”
Trammell is responsible for leading the firm’s integrated recruitment and retention efforts and its strategic objectives to recruit, develop and retain legal and government relations talent. She oversees all firmwide talent initiatives, including recruiting, training and development, performance evaluations and management, attorney and policy professional integration, internal advancement, mentoring and career planning. She ensures that all recruiting, onboarding, professional development and elevation processes align with Brownstein’s core values. Trammell also collaborates on DEI efforts with the firm’s Committee on Diversity, Inclusion and Equity teams to foster and maintain a welcoming and inclusive culture.
Trammell brings almost two decades of experience as a practicing attorney to her role. As a key member of the firm’s Business Leadership Team, she most recently served as the firm’s director of professional development. Prior to that, she was a shareholder in Brownstein’s Corporate & Business Department for 10 years and chair of the firm’s Professional Development Committee for three years.
“I’m excited to spearhead our new group and look forward to implementing an integrated approach to foster inclusive and dynamic legal and policy teams while optimizing operational efficiencies,” she said.
