Sloane Whelan, a senior policy advisor in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Denver office, has joined the board of directors of Focus Points Family Resource Center, a nonprofit organization that provides families with resources and tools to build their future and contribute to a vibrant community.
As part of her three-year term, Whelan will support the organization’s mission through strategic planning, programmatic oversight and fiduciary responsibilities, and as a goodwill ambassador for the organization amongst stakeholders and the greater Denver community.
“I am honored to join the talented team at Focus Points at this critical moment in time,” Whelan said. “As the city and state grapple with issues that acutely impact the families Focus Points serves—affordable housing, economic inclusion and access to vital services like education and childcare—I look forward to working with the board to advance their mission and develop lasting solutions that will build better communities and strengthen families.”
