Brownstein Names Airina Rodrigues New Intellectual Property Department Co-Chair

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce Airina Rodrigues will join Craig Hemenway to co-chair the Intellectual Property (IP) Department effective March 3, 2025.

“Since joining us in 2019, Airina has quickly become a leader at the firm and has played an instrumental role in both the firmwide and IP Department strategic plans,” said Rich Benenson, Brownstein’s managing partner. “I look forward to collaborating with Airina as she embarks on this new role as co-chair.”

A shareholder in the firm’s Denver office, Rodrigues’s work includes matters involving trademarks and trade dress (including global trademark portfolio management), copyrights, trade secrets, right of publicity and false advertising. She has represented Fortune 500 companies and iconic brands. Her clients include sports betting/online gaming providers, leading consumer and personal care brands, producers of outdoor recreation gear and apparel, fashion brands, media and entertainment companies, entertainment properties, cannabis brands and technology providers. A dealmaker in sponsorship, endorsement and IP licensing, she has guided clients in a range of complex deals, including negotiating marquis placement of brands with sports teams in the NFL, MLB and NBA and helping clients boost their brands via social media influencer and endorsement collaborations. When defense and enforcement of her clients’ intellectual property assets becomes necessary, she is an experienced litigator who has successfully represented clients in U.S. federal district and appellate courts, as well as before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the USPTO.
