Blaine Tracy, an associate in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Real Estate Department, has joined the board of directors of UpRoot Colorado, an organization that increases the nutrition security of Coloradans by harvesting and redistributing surplus, nutrient-dense foods while supporting the resilience of farmers.

In his three-year term, Tracy will help advance the long-term and high-level goals of the organization, helping to steer its direction.

“As someone who comes from a family of ranchers and farmers, I appreciate UpRoot’s commitment to reducing food waste and combatting food insecurity at the producer level,” he said. “UpRoot fights environmental and social harms at their earliest stages by helping to maximize the value of the food that farmers grow, benefitting both the farmers themselves and the people being fueled by the food those farmers produce.”
